Stages SIV/EMA
The key step to flying safely... and truly progressing.
In Roquebrune-Cap-Martin — an exceptional location between sea and mountains.
Why register for a SIV?
Once you are autonomous in takeoff and landing, there is a simple reality:
Not doing SIV training means continuing to fly without really knowing how to manage it.
An SIV training course isn't a "bonus". It's what allows you to:
- understand what your glider does outside of normal flight
- learn to react instead of being acted upon
- build strong reflexes
This is a real milestone in your progression as a pilot.

Why Roquebrune?
Because the setting changes everything.
- Site with a 700m elevation change and an ideal box
- very favorable winter conditions for flying
- beautiful environment → you enjoy it too
You progress in an environment that makes you want to fly.

For whom?
These internships are for you if:
- You are autonomous (takeoff/landing)
- You're starting to fly in somewhat active conditions.
- Do you want to stop "crossing your fingers when things move"?
- you want to progress without skipping steps
If you recognize yourself in this, you're exactly at the right time.

The AirVal spirit
Here, we're not trying to impress. We're trying to help you progress for real.
- progression adapted to YOUR actual level
- precise, concrete, actionable video debriefings
- clear, modern teaching methods, without unnecessary jargon
- high standards kindness (the two go together)
You don't leave with "feelings". You leave with skills.

What you're really developing
You leave with real maneuvers to practice at home above ground level.
The skills developed are described and explained, you understand what you are doing and what you are actually developing.
But this internship doesn't just give you "more technique".
You elaborate:
- your safety (appropriate reactions, useful reflexes)
- your understanding (you know what's going on)
- your confidence (you are no longer passive)
- your mental state (stress management, clarity of thought)
That's when you really switch into "pilot mode".
The real advantage: the mental aspect
An often underestimated point. At AirVal, we put a significant part of our energy into helping you understand how things work and we give you guidance to get where you want to go.
When things move, the problem isn't just technical:
- It's also your ability to remain clear-headed.
- Understand the situation and act accordingly
During the internship, you will learn to:
- maintain control under pressure
- make the right decisions
- refocus
- Create anchor points
- Breathe
And that changes everything in real-world conditions.
